following the A & B seminar, is for those who need
the BLD designation on their license.
This program will teach understanding of the
common terminology used in the exam and will teach
understanding of the test content areas. All
reference materials may be purchased through

NASCLA Contractor's Guide to Business Law and Project Management 7th Edition ISBN 1-934234-17-6 This book is used for the Virginia,
General, and Advanced sections of the exam. It is
indexed by topic and page number to assist the student
in looking up particular subjects.

explores your knowledge of the content areas covered on
the actual exam. Includes an explanation of the
answers and test taking tips. Recently revised to
explore the accounting area. A step by step guide on how to pass any exam.

International Residential Code
The manual details the mandatory provisions that
regulate the actual construction of a 1 and 2 family
dwelling. This includes specifics such as fastener schedules,
girder spans, ceiling height, room sizes, and all other
elements of construction. The manual is 1,000 pages and we will focus on
the content areas pertinent to the exam.

Construction, 2010 Edition by
John Louis Feirer This manual is a valuable reference
for a residential contracting business. It covers the topics which are more general to
the construction and not covered in the Code. The content areas of the exam are explored which
includes building layout, plan reading, foundations,
framing, roof materials, interiors and more.
